An Illustrator's Guide to the Dreamtlands

Just behind the corners of your eye the landscape would shift and change. If you tried to chase the change you’d start to feel your eyes burn, like starring into the sun. An Illustrator's Guide to the Dreamtlands is a solo journaling and sketching game. The game follow a protagonist, you, along a journey into the Dreamtlands, a liminal surrealist landscape, to reach the Thinking Heart at the centre.

Players read through the book and make stops along the journey at each double page spread. You'll be directed at times to pull from a deck of playing cards and what you pull will alter details and shape your reactions. At each stop you can journal about your story and you'll also create a sketches of the strange denizens you've met in these Dreamtlands.

Illustrated by the paintings of Wassily Kandinsky and written and designed by Kayla Dice, creator of Follow Me in the Night; a Cursed Radio and The Story of a Story.
